Yesterday, I discovered another Land Yacht that I like (As if I need another.)
The 1964 Chrysler Imperial. I think this is a great looking car, it’s got all the formula for an awesome American luxury car. Big, intimidating in black, can’t be mistaken for anything else, and it just oozes cool. But my favorite part of it is from the rear.
Why do American luxury cars have some of the best asses in the automotive industry? No ass is finer, than an ass on a luxo-barge.
Anyway, anyone else a fan?

IMO, the Imperial is better than the Continental and the Eldorado from the same era combined, just awesome.

I believe the designers took their inspiration from the Lincoln Continental. Which isn’t the worst thing in the world.

I get a lot of Continental influence as well. If the designers really were influenced by the Lincoln, the results speak for themselves.

The ‘64 is indeed excellent. Not that the ‘65 and ‘66 are much less fancy, but they have less panache in grill design. The ‘64 also gets away from the OH-WHAT-THE-HELL weird headlight setup on the ‘63 in its move to all new sheet metal.

Wait, I thought you were Not a Lady. I’m so confused.

Probably because they were designed by the same guy.
